What is La copia?
La copia is an intermittent project of artistic initiatives.
La copia is an authorial entity composed of two artists.
La copia is also a curatorial entity composed of two artists.
La Copia produces contemporary works of art, organizes collective and collaborative exhibitions, and engages in curatorial practices.
La copia secures and allocates material resources to support its own creations, the work of others, the realization of exhibitions, and participation in various events within the contemporary art world.
The artworks, exhibitions, and curatorial endeavors of La Copia act as platforms for meaningful collaboration, fostering connections and enrichment among diverse artworks, ideas, and artistic practices from heterogeneous backgrounds and journeys.
La Copia occasionally participates in events for the commercialization of artworks, operating within a cooperative non-profit organizational system.
La copia was established in 2019 and is integrated and coordinated by Nicolás Pontón and Alejandro Montaldo.
La Copia aims to create unconventional spaces—symbolic, physical, and virtual—that foster artistic community, facilitate the production of collaborative artworks, and invite the unexpected to unfold.
